Coach Weight Training

Hi everybody, this is Amy.

I grew up a ballet dancer and figure skater, so having a tenacious work ethic has been ingrained in me for the last couple of decades now – and once I started to shift my focus to weight lifting a few years back, this is part of what allowed me to gain strength and put on lean muscle in a rather short amount of time. And I preach what I practice!

The other part is that the body has always been a very fascinating piece of art for me, and understanding it to the smallest details has been great help in developing effective training and nutrition plans. My interest in anatomy and physiology is what made me want to get a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, and I am excited to keep enriching my knowledge in biomechanics and the more scientific approach of how our body works. I’m a perfectionist, therefore a clean lifting technique is crucial to me. Full range of motion and proper joint alignment are terms I mention constantly. Also, I like to tell my clients as well as myself to always do a little more, and push a little further. Go the extra mile!

The human body is incredibly complex, and all we people are made up of such similar basics yet are so different in the way we make use of what we have been given. Individuality is majorly influenced by our mindset (besides the negligible factor “genetics”), which is crucial to train alongside the physical aspect. You’re so much stronger than you think – and I’m excited to show you what you got and how far you can go!

Ideally, your motivation to become better, stronger, leaner and meaner is linked to a desire to get you’re A-game on in other aspects of your life, too. Applying discipline in the weight room will soon translate into you going about tasks outside of lifting with more dedication as well.

Sculpting a body is not easy. But it is simple: Train hard and smart + nourish and recover your body well + be consistent = ongoing progress. Sprinkle a dash of fun, focus and fervor onto this mixture and there you have a great recipe for the best version of yourself. Physically and mentally. It’s a lifestyle that allows you to live life to the fullest - just what we’re on this planet for.

Ready? Okay then, set and GO!
