My name is Eliana and I am a certified personal trainer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Sciences. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in this field at the University of Maine.
I have been a personal trainer for 3 years now, and I am strength coach at a local gym. I am also pursuing a certification in functional medicine, which includes diet, exercise, deficiencies and toxicities of the body, stress, emotions, supplements, and more! I will then move on to level 2 of this Integrative Health Practitioner Certification, which will enable me to prescribe lab tests. This certification enables me to help individuals find what is causing them pain, low performance, low mood, etc and aid them in their journey of healing.
I have always been passionate about health and wellness, and since high school I have been focused on strength training, interval-based training, cardiovascular training, and more! I believe that every individual should be well-rounded for the purpose of performance, well-being, physique, and most importantly longevity.
My programs are tailored to each individual according to their current fitness level, goals, injuries if applicable, events they are training for, and more. There is no one size fits all! “I met Eliana in June, 2016, when I was training to hike the Portuguese Coastal Camino de Santiago, schedule for October, 2016. The distance of 300 Kilometers seemed arduous, especially along the steep, rocky coast of Portugal. Four months of training with Eliana helped with my confidence, balance, and endurance. I completed the pilgrimage, hiking 18 miles a day! Eliana was instrumental in my completing this challenge! So much so, that I continued training with Eliana to complete an 800 kilometer pilgrimage along the northern coast of Spain.
