Trainer Sports Conditioning
Hello, my name is J’son Stamper. Welcome to Stamp Elite Training! There’s no way around it, if you want the results, you’re gonna have to put in the work. Like in all areas, when trying to improve, consistency is key. As Octane Fit’s first and only basketball specialist, I’m excited to bring you a detailed breakdown of today’s game.
Born and raised in the Bronx and Harlem, I grew up playing streetball at the famous Rucker and Dyckman parks. 2 years of Junior college in Kansas led to Division 1 basketball at the University of Minnesota, where I was able to experience playing in the NCAA tournament. A professional career took me to Europe where I played 5 seasons, in Sweden and Finland where I was able to win a championship and be awarded league MVP.
My basketball journey then led me to player development. For the past three years, I have been a lead trainer for Excel Sports Management’s Pre-Draft training, where we developed 12 NBA draft picks including 5 lottery picks, an additional 13 undrafted free agents and 10 international pros. More recently, I’ve worked closely with the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association), facilitating group workouts and coordinating drills for their children’s summer camps. I’ve worked with the Los Angeles Sparks assisting them in their semi-final’s playoff run. This was followed by my work at Kobe Bryant’s 1st Player Invitational at Mamba Academy, led by Kobe Bryant and Player Development specialist Phil Handy, working with 3 NBA All Stars and 17 rising stars.
