Chinese Lettuce Wraps

Happy halloween weekend! As I’m writing this I’m just now thinking to myself I really should have done a themed recipe. I sincerely apologize for dropping the ball, I promise I’ll bring my A game the next holiday. Even though this recipe is not spooktacular, it’s still an A in my book! It only took me 15 minutes to prep and is all veggies and protein, win win!

Ingredients:

16 oz organic ground turkey

1 minced organic bell pepper

1 box (8oz) minced organic mushrooms

1 (8oz) can chopped water chestnuts

2 TB chopped cashews

1 head chopped green onion

1 head organic butter lettuce

Sauce- Mix:

2 TB honey

1-2 TB Sriracha (depending on how spicy you like it)

3 TB braggs amino acid

3 cloves minced garlic

1 TB grated ginger

1 TB rice wine vinegar

Directions:

  1. Brown meat (cook fully)
  2. Add in bell pepper, green onion, mushrooms, cashews, water chestnuts
  3. Add sauce and simmer for 5 minutes
  4. Serve in lettuce wrap
